What is a LED illuminant?
LED-illuminants or so-called LED lamps are also offered as LED Retrofit lamps on the market, as exchangeable LED lamps for so far conventionally inserted lamps. The so-called bulbs, energy-saving lamps and halogen lamps should be replaced by LED illuminants/LED-Retrofit. These are capped LED lamps with one or more LEDs on one board as source of light and an electronics supply inside the cap which reduces the voltage supply from the 230 Volt mains to the operating current of the LED.
